WILD GAME FAQ
What do I need to drop off my whole deer?
To accept your deer, we must have a confirmation number from the state where it was hunted.
Whole deer can be dropped off on the right side of our building when we are open. From there, you will get a tag number for the deer. Please make sure to let the staff know when you hand off the deer if you need a cape or want the antlers cut off.
Once you have your confirmation number, please see the staff inside the store to make your cut instructions and provide the $50 cash or check deposit.
What do I need to drop off my boneless/bone-in deer?
All deer dropped off for processing must have a confirmation number from the state where it was hunted. To drop-off, please bring your meat inside the store to make your cut instructions and provide the $50 cash or check deposit.
Bone-in and boneless deer meat must be brought to Kempf’s in a plastic container, cooler, or an unscented & ink/logo free bag. Any deer meat that is brought to us too dirty or not in a proper container will be done as a private batch will be charged an additional fee.
Can I drop off my deer after hours, or on Sunday?
At this time we do not have after hours drop off set up. We are looking into other options and will update the page when we have additional details to share.
Do you participate with Share The Harvest?
Yes, we are proud to partner and participate in the Share The Harvest program. We have a limited number of deer we are allowed to accept for donation, so please call ahead of time to confirm we have space available. For more infomation about the Share The Harvest Program, visit https://mdc.mo.gov/hunting-trapping/species/deer/share-harvest.
